Application Engineer – Drilling and Completion Fluids

About the role

The Application Engineer – Drilling and Completion Fluids ensures flawless execution of well construction projects by supporting pre‑planning, job execution, and post‑job analysis. Working closely with Operations and Commercial Coordinators, you will translate customer objectives into technical work programs that meet contractual terms.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Collaborate with Operations/Commercial Coordinators to understand well objectives and commercial terms.
• Perform post‑job analysis and engineering modeling calculations to assess application risks.
• Develop work programs, risk‑mitigation and contingency plans that maximize revenue and future assignments.
• Document calculations, simulations, and plan changes for audit and team visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering or related field.
• Active CRQ or CREA registration.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Professional experience in drilling fluid analysis and field‑based evaluations.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and planning abilities.
• Willingness to be on call outside normal business hours and travel to drilling sites.
• Understanding of profit & loss requirements and technical job planning.
