Consultant for ATHIS Training Facilitation

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a Consultant to facilitate ATHIS training in Sorocaba, Brazil. The role will support the implementation of a capacity‑building project aimed at equipping professionals with the skills needed to bridge policy and practice in social housing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the initial premises and identify priority thematic areas for the ATHIS training plan based on the project’s capacity needs assessment.
• Design a comprehensive training plan and create related materials for a three‑module ATHIS course targeting municipal officials and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate training sessions, ensure effective knowledge transfer, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams and report to the Head of the Brazil Office.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, and contribute to the overall success of the project.

Required profile

• Experience in urban development, social housing, or related capacity‑building initiatives.
• Proven ability to design and deliver training programs for public sector audiences.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the capacity to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency is an advantage.
