Facility Engineer

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Facility Engineer to monitor and ensure optimal performance of offshore production units, focusing on topside equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, incident analysis, and guaranteeing compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain unit operation within design conditions, ensuring safety and performance.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, risk analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate production loss incidents and process‑safety events, providing thorough analysis and follow‑up.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operation of production facilities, minimizing downtime and operational costs.
• Provide technical support to offshore operations, including process monitoring with PI, SEEQ, and daily reporting.
• Lead facility‑related projects from concept to execution, delivering on time and within budget.
• Plan and coordinate interventions on process equipment such as CO₂ membranes, SRP membranes, molecular sieves, and guard filters.
• Participate in risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZID, ORA, TRA, SIL) and review action plans.

Required profile

• Experience monitoring topside equipment on offshore production units.
• Ability to provide technical support to offshore teams and conduct incident investigations.
• Familiarity with safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk‑analysis procedures.

Required skills

• Process monitoring tools: PI, SEEQ.
• Knowledge of CO₂ membranes, SRP membranes, molecular sieves, guard filters.
• Risk‑assessment methodologies: HAZOP, HAZID, ORA, TRA, SIL.
• Technical auditing and incident analysis.
