Full Stack Software Engineer – Remote (Brazil)

About the role

Red Hat’s Discovery team is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to work remotely from Brazil. You will help build and maintain open‑source tools that enable system discovery, inspection, and reporting for highly secure, air‑gapped environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain new features for Discovery tooling across backend services, CLI, installer, and UI.
• Improve integrations between the CLI, backend, web UI, and installer.
• Contribute to automated testing frameworks to ensure product quality.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and keep codebases healthy.
• Engage with open‑source communities and collaborate with a distributed global team in an agile setting.
• Continuously learn and experiment with new tools, including emerging AI technologies relevant to software development.

Required profile

• Experience developing in Python (JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus).
• Proficiency in Linux environments (services, configuration, logging, networking).
• Strong skills with git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and test automation.
• Clear communication skills and a curious, problem‑solving mindset for remote teamwork.
