Investment Fund Lawyer – Mid-level

About the role

Franklin Templeton is seeking a mid‑level Investment Fund Lawyer to join its legal team in São Paulo. The role supports the legal and regulatory aspects of the firm’s investment management activities, working closely with investment, operations, and compliance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the formation, structuring, and launch of investment funds regulated by Resolution CVM 175 (Annex I - FIF).
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation and coordinate with external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Provide regulatory advice for investment funds and liaise with compliance teams, regulators, ANBIMA, and CVM.
• Manage day‑to‑day fund governance, amendments, investor communications, and fund lifecycle events.
• Draft and review corporate documents such as Articles of Association, meeting minutes, and administrative contracts.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Prior experience at a reputable law firm and/or in‑house at asset‑management companies or financial institutions.
• Law degree from a recognized institution.
• Member of the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).

Required skills

• Solid understanding of investment fund structures and securities laws.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation.
• Strong English drafting and communication skills.
