LATAM Procurement Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will be a key player in strengthening RINA's supply chain across Latin America. Based in Rio de Janeiro, you will lead supplier research, contract negotiations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting business units from bid preparation to project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies in line with company policies and regulations.
• Manage vendor scouting, segmentation and maintain an up‑to‑date vendor list.
• Implement performance scorecards, risk passports and conduct detailed risk assessments.
• Evaluate supplier performance, issue RFQs, manage bid receipts and conduct thorough bid comparisons.
• Provide data analysis and reporting on supply chain performance, offering strategic recommendations.
• Maintain long‑term strategic supplier relationships and support technical evaluations during tender processes.
• Define target prices, negotiate contracts and finalize commercial terms with vendors.
• Oversee internal approvals, generate performance reports and manage international vendor inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience in supply chain or procurement, with extensive background in supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or other supply chain software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
