Offshore Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Offshore Facilities Engineer will lead and support production activities on SBM Offshore vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations. Reporting to the Offshore Production Superintendent, this role acts as the technical focal point for all production‑related matters both offshore and onshore.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to offshore production teams and onshore support functions.
• Assist with process optimisation, plant trials, Management of Change (MoC) reporting and troubleshooting to maintain steady production.
• Maximise uptime and key performance bonuses by maintaining high process capability and minimising downtime.
• Support the development and optimisation of surveillance and monitoring tools such as SEEQ and PI Vision.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, including P&ID mark‑ups, temporary procedures and technical notes.
• Review and define functional requirements for design changes under the MoC process.

Required profile

• Proven experience in onshore hydrocarbon process operations and change management.
• Strong leadership, safety awareness and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
