About the role

The Senior Technical Sales Representative (Agro) will lead BASF's agricultural business in the Pelotas region, focusing on rice and soybean crops. The role combines technical agronomy expertise with sales leadership to support large farmers and purchasing groups.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with large growers, purchasing pools, and other value‑chain partners.
• Promote BASF’s portfolio of crop solutions, emphasizing profitability and sustainability.
• Manage credit challenges specific to the regional agricultural context.
• Drive sales performance for rice (historical strong presence) and expand opportunities in soybean.
• Coordinate with distribution channels to ensure product availability and service quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Agronomic Engineering with mandatory knowledge of rice cultivation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and/or sales, including administrative and business management responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal influence, strategic discipline, flexibility, and ability to impact key stakeholders.

Required skills

• Agronomic engineering background.
• In‑depth knowledge of rice cultivation practices.
• Experience in agricultural sales and marketing.
