Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

You will be the on‑the‑ground owner of Outpost’s Brazilian entity, responsible for keeping it compliant, financially healthy and operationally sharp. The hands‑on position spans accounting, tax compliance and day‑to‑day operations while collaborating with global finance and ops teams and local advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Own all statutory accounting and financial reporting for the Brazilian entity
• Manage tax filings and compliance obligations (SPED, DCTF, EFD‑Contribuições, ISS, PIS/COFINS, IRPJ/CSLL)
• Oversee NFS‑e and NF‑e e‑invoicing obligations under Brazil’s electronic invoicing mandate
• Maintain relationships with local tax advisors and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with Banco Central do Brasil reporting requirements and eFX agent obligations
• Monitor Brazil’s tax reform and flag implications for Outpost and its merchants
• Oversee merchant onboarding processes for Brazilian transactions
• Manage local banking relationships and cash management for the entity
• Support commercial operations including contracts, vendor management and regulatory correspondence
• Act as primary local point of contact for regulators, auditors and banking partners

Required profile

• CRC‑certified Contador (mandatory)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance in Brazil, preferably in fintech, payments or financial services
• Deep knowledge of Brazil’s indirect and direct tax regime
• Experience with Banco Central do Brasil regulations (strong advantage)
• Fluent in Portuguese and able to work in English with the global team

Required skills

• Expertise in Brazil’s tax filing systems (SPED, DCTF, EFD, ISS, PIS/COFINS, NFe/NFSe)
• Familiarity with Banco Central do Brasil reporting and e‑FX agent requirements
• Strong analytical and compliance skills in a fast‑moving, internationally distributed environment
