Import & Export Specialist

About the role

The Import & Export Specialist will manage end‑to‑end international trade operations for Macmillan Education within Brazil. You will ensure that products move smoothly between suppliers, foreign publishers and the local market while supporting the sales team’s performance.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate delivery schedules, commercial terms and freight agreements with foreign publishers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations for transportation, cargo insurance and import‑related costs.
• Prepare and verify import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates.
• Maintain compliance with customs, tax and regulatory requirements specific to the publishing industry.
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and freight forwarders, monitoring for delays.
• Track international shipments and manage delivery timelines.
