Junior Data Security Officer (iGaming)

About the role

On behalf of our client in the iGaming industry, we are looking for a Junior Data Security Officer to join the team in São Paulo. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s information security program, protecting sensitive customer, financial, and operational data while supporting regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee protection of customer and business data across systems, networks, and platforms.
• Monitor and manage security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry standards.
• Coordinate security incident response, investigation, and remediation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing coordination, and vulnerability scans.
• Work closely with IT, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure secure system design and deployment.
• Oversee access control, identity management, and data encryption practices.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal compliance processes.
• Manage third‑party/vendor security assessments and due diligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity roles.
• Working experience in the iGaming industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with payment systems, KYC environments, and fraud prevention is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
• Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English.
