Application Development Specialist – Personal Safety

About the role

Join 3M’s Personal Safety Division as an Application Development Specialist, providing technical expertise on personal protective equipment (PPE) to customers, distributors, and internal teams. You will help promote a strong safety culture through training, product demonstrations, and regulatory guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and product recommendations for PPE solutions to customers, distributors, and the commercial team.
• Deliver technical and educational training on PPE usage, compliance, and safety best practices.
• Conduct product demonstrations, application testing, and technical evaluations to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor technical standards, certifications, and legal trends affecting the personal safety market.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, quality, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, sales) on launches, portfolio adaptations, and technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical support, product application, occupational safety, PPE, or a related regulatory environment.
• Advanced English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and its technical requirements.
• Familiarity with technical standards, certifications, and regulatory compliance for occupational safety.
• Experience delivering technical training and field support to end‑users.
