Consultant – ATHIS Training Facilitation (São José dos Campos)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a consultant to facilitate the ATHIS (Assistência Técnica de Habitação de Interesse Social) training in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The role supports the implementation of a capacity‑building project for social housing technical assistance, working closely with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of the initial premises and identify priority thematic areas for the ATHIS training plan and materials, based on the project’s capacity needs and ATHIS assessments.
• Develop a comprehensive training plan and related materials for an ATHIS training course, structured into three modules.
• Collaborate with UN‑Habitat, the São Paulo Council of Architecture and Urbanism, and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Report progress to the Head of the Brazil Office and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.

Required profile

• Ability to work in close collaboration with UN‑Habitat operational and technical teams.
• Experience in developing training plans and instructional materials for technical assistance projects.
• Strong commitment to the UN‑Habitat mandate of sustainable urban development and social housing.
