About the role

Acciona is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team responsible for the Line 6‑Orange metro project in the western zone of São Paulo. The role involves overseeing all geotechnical aspects of tunnelling, foundations and underground works to ensure safe and sustainable construction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse geotechnical activities related to tunnels, retaining structures, foundations and other underground works.
• Perform stability assessments of excavations, slopes and containment structures.
• Interpret geotechnical investigation reports, borehole data and laboratory/field test results.
• Monitor instrumentation, collect performance data and evaluate structural behaviour during construction.
• Prepare technical reports, opinions and detailed geotechnical studies.
• Support critical review of executive designs and propose technical solutions for field deviations.
• Supervise specialised services, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project specifications.
• Participate in technical meetings with engineering teams, designers, inspectors and clients.
• Assess geotechnical risks and assist in implementing mitigation measures.
• Guarantee adherence to quality, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Completed higher education in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a similar role.
