Accounting Manager – Brazil

About the role

The Accounting Manager – Brazil leads controllership for Hershey’s Brazilian operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and robust internal controls. Based in São Paulo, the role partners with finance, tax, treasury, supply chain and commercial teams to support business growth in a key emerging market.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting for the Brazil legal entity, overseeing month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, intercompany transactions, VAT credit accounting, loans, derivatives, leases and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review statutory and U.S. GAAP financial statements, ensuring compliance with Brazil local GAAP and Hershey global policies.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating statutory audits, SOX testing and regulatory reviews.
• Manage internal control ownership, SOX compliance and remediation activities.
• Support VAT credit governance, planning and monetisation in collaboration with tax and finance leadership.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting for large multinational entities.
• Experience with Brazil statutory reporting, U.S. GAAP and local GAAP.
• Proven ability to interact with senior business leaders and external auditors.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
