Senior Tax Analyst – Regional Tax – São Paulo

About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Tax Analyst to join Goldman Sachs’ Global Tax team in São Paulo. The role supports Latin American tax operations, focusing on Brazil and Mexico, and works closely with Investment Banking, Legal, Finance and Technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and collect taxes on client transactions across Latin America.
• Review data and prepare financial statements for tax reporting.
• File required tax returns, including withholding, FATCA, CRS and other informative reports.
• Reconcile balance sheets across operations systems to ensure accuracy.
• Support adherence to tax and withholding rules, particularly in Brazil and Mexico.
• Monitor tax legislation and improve processes and documentation for robust compliance.

Required profile

• Brazilian tax resident with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Law, Finance or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in a financial institution, Big Four consultancy or law firm, focusing on tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Alteryx or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
