Senior Business Development Specialist – Transaction Execution

About the role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a senior professional to lead complex divestment transactions within its Divestment Department. The role involves end‑to‑end execution of high‑value deals, typically $500 million or larger, and requires full relocation to Saudi Arabia on a permanent expat basis.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and evaluate assets for potential divestment in line with the portfolio optimisation strategy.
• Develop Investment Memorandums and transaction strategies, including valuation, structuring and key value levers.
• Lead the full divestment process, ensuring rigorous analysis and adherence to internal stage‑gate approvals.
• Support negotiation of commercial terms and definitive agreements, crafting negotiation strategies to optimise outcomes.
• Draft, review and analyse commercial and legal documents such as SPAs, TSAs, Head of Terms and MoUs.
• Coordinate with senior internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Strategy, HR) to align and progress deals.
• Prepare and present briefings, analyses and recommendations to corporate committees and executive management.
• Act as central liaison for all transaction activities, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
• Provide administrative direction and mentorship to Business Development staff and junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate development with end‑to‑end deal management experience.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale divestment or transaction execution projects.
