Sr Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will manage general procurement processes, creating value for Ferrero by ensuring supplier compliance, maintaining documentation, and aligning acquisitions with corporate standards. This role contributes to continuous improvement and participates in operational events and mandatory training.

Key responsibilities

• Scout and develop suppliers for general procurement categories, respecting local procedures and group policy.
• Analyze market suppliers, raw‑material impacts, and cost elements to inform purchasing decisions.
• Conduct qualification, bid selection, and vendor selection processes, ensuring optimal cost, quality, service, and warranty.
• Negotiate contracts, work with legal and stakeholders to build consistent agreements, and monitor price changes, cost savings, and cash impact.
• Manage supplier claims, escalation flows, and evaluate supplier performance using KPIs.
• Verify correct material group usage in purchase requests and monitor KPI compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to close purchase orders and identify invoice‑before‑PO opportunities.
• Share process‑improvement ideas with the team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of local and regional supplier markets.
• Ability to assess technical data and ensure environmental compliance.
• Experience in end‑to‑end procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and KPI monitoring.

Required skills
