Trade Operations Supervisor – Import & Export

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Trade Operations Supervisor to lead import and export activities in São José dos Campos. This hybrid position requires on‑site presence at least twice a week and focuses on ensuring compliance, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction across international trade processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day import and export operations, resolving issues promptly and managing customer concerns.
• Ensure high performance of the contracted 4PL and customs broker, aligning activities with business goals.
• Lead Lean continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, compliance, and service performance.
• Develop and implement compliant processes for all trade activities and support international trade agreement programs.
• Partner with GTC, Planning, Regulatory Affairs, Warehouse and other functions to design robust end‑to‑end processes.
• Serve as primary contact for customs audits, compliance initiatives, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant regulations and implement internal controls and reporting mechanisms.
• Shape international transportation policies, standards, and procedures to achieve cost‑saving targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing import and export operations within a regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Solid understanding of customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements.
