About the role

UPS is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its Supply Chain team in Brazil. The professional will be responsible for driving efficient purchasing processes, developing strategic suppliers, and delivering cost‑optimisation across logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain quotations and negotiate the acquisition of materials, services and inputs.
• Develop, qualify and manage strategic suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial terms to achieve better pricing, delivery schedules and quality.
• Arrange payment terms with suppliers.
• Monitor delivery flows and ensure agreed timelines are met.
• Register items and suppliers in the internal system.
• Prepare and track performance reports and supplier KPIs.
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects in procurement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of prior experience in procurement, preferably within the logistics sector.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑relationship skills.
• Analytical mindset with a results‑oriented approach.
• Experience managing performance indicators and supplier evaluations.
• Intermediate English proficiency is a plus.
