Accountant – Local Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join the local finance team of an international Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) company in Itaguaí, Brazil. The role focuses on the accounting activities of the local branch, ensuring accurate records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vouchers, bank and ledger reconciliations
• Handle daily banking operations and vendor invoice processing
• Oversee statutory accounting, local taxation matters, and preparation of management reports (MIS) on income, expenses and profitability
• Enter accounting data in SAP and support monthly sales closing
• Prepare financial reports for Corporate Finance and Branch Management
• Issue client invoices and maintain documentation for internal and external audits
• Support cost‑control initiatives and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and company policies

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting or finance
• Good knowledge of Brazilian accounting regulations and statutory requirements
• Experience with taxation and financial reporting
• Analytical and organizational abilities, with capacity to work independently and collaborate with international teams
• Proficient written and spoken English
