Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the integrity, accuracy and compliance of all accounting and financial reporting activities for Bajaj do Brasil, a large‑sized manufacturing entity. This senior position is legally responsible for signing the statutory financial statements and ensuring full adherence to Brazilian GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and corporate governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and legally sign the annual statutory financial statements (Balance, DRE, DFC, DMPL, explanatory notes) in compliance with CPC/IFRS and Brazilian GAAP.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes across four branches, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, fixed‑assets management, leasing accounting (CPC 06/IFRS 16), intercompany accounting and intangible‑asset amortisation.
• Manage all statutory accounting obligations such as ECD, ECF, DIRF, e‑Social, REINF, SPED Contábil and IRPJ/CSLL calculations.
• Control cost accounting for the Manaus motorcycle factory, validate standard costs, support inventory valuation and COGS recognition, and lead periodic inventory counts.
• Coordinate the annual external audit, support internal audit activities and continuously improve internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering development and ensuring compliance with corporate governance.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting expertise with proven experience in Brazilian GAAP, IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑branch accounting operations in a complex industrial environment.
• Legal responsibility for signing statutory financial statements and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and hands‑on execution capability.
