Accounting Manager

About the role

Kraton is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial accounting and reporting for its Brazil operations. The role will ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and corporate standards while supporting global close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the country’s general ledger, prepare financial statements, and ensure timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closes.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms, tax consultants, and payroll vendors to deliver high‑quality services.
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations, ensuring accurate filings and payments.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls, support the rollout of global policies, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local financial institutions, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Supervise third‑party service providers, conduct performance reviews, and provide training as needed.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in general ledger accounting, technical accounting, and direct/indirect tax.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax laws, financial regulations, local GAAP, and International Accounting Standards (IFRS).
• Proven ability to manage audits and interact with external auditors.
• Fluent English communication skills.
