Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for our US‑based clients on a fully remote basis. The role reports to the Controller and is responsible for delivering accurate financial statements and overseeing the work of Staff Accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve customer invoicing, vendor bills, payroll and weekly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage month‑end close activities, including P&L scrubs, balance‑sheet accuracy, journal entry review and technical QA checklists.
• Perform quarterly 941 reconciliations and sales‑tax return preparation.
• Coordinate annual 1099 filings, chart‑of‑accounts reviews and personal‑property tax submissions.
• Lead new‑client implementation by assessing existing processes, documenting improvements and creating initial reporting packages.
• Provide technical feedback and coaching to Staff Accountants to enhance their accounting skills.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience serving US‑based clients.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month‑end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or NetSuite (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, basic analysis).
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards.
