Accounts Payable Associate

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team in São Paulo. This entry‑level position offers autonomy and flexibility for a proactive self‑starter eager to learn and contribute to the team’s success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and coordinate vendor payments through proactive outreach via email and other channels.
• Develop payment strategies for different vendor segments, prioritising invoices based on terms, early‑payment discounts and vendor priority.
• Collaborate with procurement, department heads and other internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and purchase‑order mismatches.
• Maintain accurate records of invoice approvals, vendor communications and payment outcomes.
• Manipulate and analyse data from spreadsheets and internal dashboards to identify trends, optimise payment schedules and prepare AP and cash‑outflow reports.
• Identify and escalate data‑accuracy issues, supporting improvements to reporting and ledger integrity.
• Contribute ideas for process improvement, automation and data‑quality enhancements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with best practices in accounts payable, vendor relationship management and basic data analysis.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Degree or advanced studies in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt to new procedures and grow within the role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic data analysis and manipulation.
