Area Manager, Reverse Logistics Operations

About the role

We are looking for a results‑oriented Area Manager to lead daily operations at our reverse logistics site. The role combines hands‑on operational management with team development, focusing on process execution, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team handling returned items, vendor returns, and asset recovery.
• Maintain an active floor presence for up to 12 hours per shift, leading by example.
• Monitor work queues, SLA adherence, and audit employee output to ensure quality and operational standards.
• Use data and metrics to prioritize issues, conduct deep dives when needed, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Conduct regular team meetings, daily huddles, and shift briefings to communicate priorities.
• Provide coaching, on‑the‑job training, and support hiring and onboarding activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and effective shift handoffs.
• Track and report on KPIs such as throughput, quality, and safety metrics.

Required profile

• Strong people leadership with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
• Data‑driven mindset focused on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to make quick decisions on the floor and resolve operational issues independently.
