Back-End Engineer, AI (Growth)

About the role

Deel is looking for a Back‑End Engineer focused on AI to help power its global go‑to‑market engine. In this hands‑on, builder‑first position you will design, develop and maintain scalable back‑end services that enable AI‑driven product features.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high‑impact technical and product problems.
• Design, code, test and ship high‑quality, scalable applications using Node.js.
• Ensure systems are efficient, reliable and performant under real‑world load.
• Lead execution through cross‑functional teams, not just individual contribution.
• Partner with go‑to‑market teams to align technical work with business outcomes.
• Operate, monitor and iterate on live services to continuously improve performance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on builder mindset with a passion for turning ideas into production code.
• Experience working on AI‑powered products or services.
• Ability to collaborate across product, engineering and GTM teams.
• Comfort with full product lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
