Backend Developer – Server‑Side Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain the server‑side components of our applications. The role focuses on delivering high‑performance, scalable and secure APIs and data pipelines while collaborating closely with front‑end teams and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, APIs and databases.
• Build scalable systems capable of handling high request volumes and large data sets.
• Implement security best practices and ensure data protection.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues and monitor system health.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate user‑facing features.
• Manage database schemas, write queries and handle migrations using SQL or NoSQL solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to system architecture documentation and technical specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and teamwork orientation.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.

Required skills

• Backend languages/frameworks: Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot), Ruby on Rails.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQL, NoSQL.
• API design: RESTful APIs, GraphQL.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• System design, scalability and security principles.
