Bilingual Paralegal Case Manager (Spanish/English)

About the role

CatalyzeX is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented bilingual paralegal (Spanish/English) to join its remote legal team. The role covers the full lifecycle of case management, from intake through case closings, acting as a central hub for document management and case organization. You will support attorneys and senior paralegals so that case materials are accurate, properly filed and easy to access.

Key responsibilities

• Intake and opening: process new client information, create and organize case files in legal case management systems, prepare engagement letters, conflict checks and intake forms, and coordinate with attorneys on complete intake information.
• Case management and closing: monitor ongoing cases, coordinate closure with attorneys, handle final billing, archiving and case closing memoranda, and coordinate return or destruction of client materials.
• Document management and discovery: locate and retrieve documents, maintain electronic and physical filing systems with consistent naming conventions, index and archive discovery materials, run periodic audits of case files and support document preparation and version control.
• Administrative and client support: manage emails, phone calls and calendars, schedule meetings, act as a secondary point of contact for clients, and draft, file and process legal documents and correspondence.

Required profile

• Bilingual Spanish and English, with strong spoken and written American English; must be based in Brazil or Latin America.
• Knowledge of legal procedures, case management and document handling.
• Exceptional organization and multitasking, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in workers' compensation and personal injury law preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with legal case management software and cloud-based document systems.
• High-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps or fiber).
• Windows 11 (preferably Pro, 2021 or newer) or a supported Mac (2020 or newer, preferably Apple Silicon M1 or newer); Chromebooks, tablets and mobile devices are not supported.
• Minimum 8 GB RAM (16 GB preferred), noise-canceling headset, power and internet backup.

What we offer

• Pay of $7 per hour.
• Working hours in the Eastern or Pacific time zone.
