Business Controller LATAM

About the role

The Business Controller LATAM will act as a strategic finance partner for Konecranes across the Latin American sub‑region. The role is responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening internal controls and supporting decision‑making to enable sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sub‑region leadership, country managers and commercial teams to provide financial insights and scenario analysis.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and support audits covering transactions, costs, inventories, sales and asset values.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes for the region.
• Analyse monthly performance, identify risks and opportunities and implement corrective action plans.
• Support investment cases, capital expenditure proposals and market development projects.
• Control product and job costing, evaluate make‑or‑buy decisions and monitor project KPIs and margin performance.
• Drive working‑capital improvement initiatives, manage receivables, inventory turns and DSO in collaboration with sales and supply‑chain functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, corporate policies and regional regulations; oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in financial controlling or business partnering within a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple countries and cultures.
