Business Director

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Business Director to lead the Flow Controls (FCV) business in Brazil. The role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, profitability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while aligning regional priorities with global objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue, margins, operating income, and cash flow.
• Drive commercial performance through market expansion, strategic customer engagement, and pricing excellence.
• Lead annual strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business review processes.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and lead a high‑performing organization focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• Strong leadership experience in automation industrial processes (chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas) or related industries.
• Proven experience managing a business with P&L accountability.
• Knowledge of control valves and the Brazilian valve market.
• Strong commercial, financial, and strategic business acumen.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Fluent in English.
