Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Brazil

About the role

This senior executive position leads the technology function of a fast‑scaling digital ecosystem based in Brazil. The CTO will shape the overall tech vision, drive architectural decisions, and ensure that technology fuels growth, scalability, and innovation across performance marketing, digital products, automation, and platform development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a technology strategy aligned with business expansion and long‑term scalability.
• Lead all core tech functions including engineering, architecture, DevOps, SRE, data, and security.
• Design cloud‑native, distributed system architectures using microservices, APIs, and event‑driven patterns.
• Oversee the creation of robust data platforms, governance, analytics, and AI‑driven initiatives.
• Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and reliability standards.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations such as LGPD.
• Drive innovation in AI, automation, and advanced data utilization.
• Mentor and develop technical leaders, establishing engineering standards and succession plans.
• Collaborate with executive and product leadership to align technology decisions with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in executive technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent) within high‑growth digital companies.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, particularly AWS, and modern distributed system design.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
