Cloud CoE Solution Architect (Google Cloud)

About the role

The Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of cloud‑based solutions, focusing on Google Cloud Platform. Working within a dedicated team, you will help build and evolve Mars’ cloud platforms and ensure they meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess business demands and translate them into technical requirements.
• Create detailed architectural diagrams (LLD) and define landing zones.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, elastic, and highly available.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including data protection and identity management.
• Collaborate with cloud, enterprise, and operations architects as well as cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role with a focus on cloud architecture.
• Proven ability to design enterprise‑level solutions considering performance, security, and integration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools, specifically Terraform.
• Version control with Git.
• Cloud security principles and compliance.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS (plus).
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
