Cloud Solution Architect Lead

About the role

As the Cloud Solution Architect Lead within the Cloud Center of Excellence, you will shape the organization’s cloud adoption strategy and drive the design of enterprise‑grade platforms on Google Cloud. Working alongside a team of cloud architects, you will ensure that Mars’ digital platforms are built on secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized cloud foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to a team of cloud solution architects.
• Lead Cloud Architecture Review Board (ARB) sessions to evaluate and approve new cloud designs.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, enterprise architects, operations, vendors and business stakeholders to define landing zones and services for project deployments.
• Mentor junior architects and promote best practices in infrastructure‑as‑code, security, and operational excellence.
• Design and implement enterprise solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and Git for version control.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role with a focus on cloud architecture.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring and driving architectural decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a deep understanding of system integration and data modeling.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
