Consultant for ATHIS Training Facilitation (Ribeirão Preto)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a consultant to facilitate the ATHIS (Technical Assistance for Social Housing) training in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. The role supports the implementation of a joint project with the São Paulo Council of Architecture and Urbanism and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, aimed at building capacity for sustainable and equitable housing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining the initial premises and identifying priority thematic areas for the ATHIS training based on the project’s capacity needs assessment.
• Develop a comprehensive training plan and accompanying materials, organized into three modules.
• Deliver training sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to municipal officials and partner institutions.
• Coordinate with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams, as well as local partners, to align training activities with project objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and provide regular reports to the Head of the Brazil Office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes related to social housing, urban development or technical assistance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international organisations and local authorities.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills to manage training logistics and documentation.
