Demand Planning Specialist

About the role

The Demand Planning Specialist will own the sell‑out and sell‑in forecasting process for assigned markets, working closely with distributors, sales, marketing and internal supply‑chain teams. The role ensures accurate demand data, aligns forecasts with business objectives, and supports the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate and analyse sales, inventory and forecast data from distributors or direct customers.
• Lead demand review meetings with customers and Bacardi commercial teams to align on forecasts and plans.
• Build and maintain the S&OP forecast that feeds the IBP cycle, highlighting gaps and opportunities.
• Manage demand entries in Bacardi’s system, ensuring correct product codes, origins and timing.
• Collaborate with plants and innovation teams to forecast new product introductions accurately.
• Oversee product life‑cycle changes, innovations, and delistings in the planning system.
• Continuously improve forecasting methods to increase accuracy and reduce bias.
• Provide KPI visibility (bias, accuracy, order delays) and support action plans for improvement.
• Support cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, operations, finance) during the monthly S&OP cycle.
• Identify slow‑moving items, propose mitigation actions and manage obsolescence risk.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning or related supply‑chain roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Administration or equivalent.
• Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese (written and spoken) and proficient in Business English.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization across geographies.
