Directional Drilling Engineer

About the role

The Directional Drilling Engineer will support the Product Service Delivery (PSD) team in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable drilling solutions for our customers in Brazil. You will create optimized technical job designs, identify improvement opportunities, and provide real‑time support throughout the service delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical job designs for the product line.
• Identify and apply cost‑effective drilling techniques.
• Explore and propose value‑added products and services.
• Provide technical support during all phases of service delivery.
• Communicate the value of technology and interpretations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to optimise designs.
• Support PSD managers with design changes due to job dimension or resource variations.
• Assist in incident response, recovery, and investigations.
• Support multiple product lines with collaborative job designs.
• Assist sales and commercial teams in evaluating technical viability of tenders.
• Analyse execution versus design and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Engineering bachelor’s degree.
• Active CREA professional registration.
• Proven experience in directional drilling projects and operations.
• Advanced English and fluent Portuguese.
• Valid documentation and residence permit to work in Brazil.
