About the role

As the E‑Commerce & Marketing Manager for Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana, you will shape the hotel’s digital presence and drive direct revenue growth. Reporting to the General Manager and sitting on the Commercial Leadership Team, you will combine strategic vision with data‑driven decision‑making to position the property as a top choice for luxury travelers, meetings and events.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive e‑commerce strategy to maximise direct bookings across brand.com, OTA, luxury consortia and paid media channels.
  • Oversee website content, booking engine performance, SEO/SEM initiatives and overall digital platform optimisation.
  • Manage paid search, display, retargeting and metasearch campaigns with a strong focus on ROI.
  • Monitor digital KPIs (conversion, traffic, pace, channel mix) and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Protect and elevate the hotel’s luxury brand positioning across digital and print media, ensuring compliance with global brand standards.
  • Lead content creation – photography, video, social storytelling and partnership activations.
  • Curate an aspirational social media presence and develop an annual content calendar aligned with revenue periods.
  • Produce monthly digital performance reports, track budgets and collaborate with Revenue Management to align pricing and demand strategies.
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue and Operations to support group campaigns, F&B initiatives and peak‑period demand.

Required profile

  • Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical rigor.
  • Creative digital thinker capable of translating brand storytelling into measurable results.
  • Proven experience in luxury hospitality or premium consumer brands.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and guide strategic decisions.
