Elementary Teacher

About the role

The School of the Nations seeks an enthusiastic Elementary Teacher to join its international K‑12 community. The role focuses on delivering inquiry‑based learning within the IB Primary Years Programme and the Nations Learning Ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons aligned with the IB PYP and the Nations Learning Ecosystem.
• Differentiate instruction using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to meet diverse learner needs.
• Develop, document, and refine curriculum units using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework and the Toddle platform.
• Assess student progress through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, using data to inform instruction.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, student‑centered classroom that promotes agency, belonging, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, learning support specialists, and families to support student success.
• Integrate technology, AI tools, moral values, and global perspectives into daily teaching.

Required profile

• Degree in Pedagogy (Pedagogia) or equivalent.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Teaching experience, preferably in bilingual or international settings.
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with the IB PYP or willingness to complete IB training.
• Strong curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to professional ethics, continuous growth, and collaboration within a diverse international community.
