Employee Relations Specialist – Brazil Operations

About the role

The Employee Relations Specialist will support Amazon’s Brazil Operations, ensuring that employee treatment aligns with the company’s core values and local labor regulations. Working closely with HR Business Partners, legal teams, and site leadership, you will help create a fair and respectful workplace while addressing employee relations issues.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze associate and manager feedback through data analysis and on‑site visits.
• Identify risks and develop proactive mitigation plans for site launches, labor changes, and other operational challenges.
• Partner with site leadership and HR to improve communication, policies, and practices that affect the associate experience.
• Audit people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations and prepare assessment reports for senior leadership.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs that build employee‑relations capability across operations and HR.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, investigate employee complaints, and guide appropriate disciplinary actions in line with Brazilian labor law.
• Balance project work with crisis‑response activities, providing timely solutions to critical employee‑relations issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations or HR within a large, fast‑paced organization.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to partner with managers, legal, and senior leaders.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, and comfortable handling complex, high‑impact situations.
