English Language Trainer for Private Child

About the role

Executive Language Training (ELT) is looking for a qualified English Language Trainer to deliver an in‑person English program for an 8‑year‑old child. The role involves teaching at the participant’s home in Sao Caetano do Sul, focusing on social communication and preparation for schooling in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 60 minutes of instruction twice a week, totaling 60 hours.
• Conduct lessons at the child’s home during the agreed time slots (Monday and Thursday, 3‑9 pm BRT).
• Develop lesson plans that match the child’s basic English level and learning objectives.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure effective language acquisition.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching English to non‑native speakers, preferably children.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and pedagogical methods.

Required skills

• Ability to design age‑appropriate English curriculum.
• Effective communication in both English and Portuguese (preferred for interaction with family).
