Field Operator (Offshore)

About the role

The Field Operator is responsible for the day‑to‑day production activities on the FPSO Anna Nery. You will operate and maintain process equipment while ensuring safety, health and environmental standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with all safety regulations.
• Perform first‑line maintenance using the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and follow operational procedures.
• Carry out mechanical primary checks (visual vibration, heat and noise) and add oil to pumps when required.
• Clean filters, strainers, sight glasses and change gaskets (pressure class ≤150 psi, size ≤6 in).
• Conduct general housekeeping, vessel clean‑out, equipment drainage and preparation for DFPV (depressurization, flushing, purging, venting).
• Preserve equipment according to preservation routines and assist in basic maintenance tasks.
• Support the lead operator with daily reports, isolation/de‑isolation of equipment, and shutdown/start‑up activities.
• Inspect safety equipment, follow work permits and report any abnormal situations.
• Train production operator trainees and act as part of the intervention team.

• Commitment to safety, health and environmental awareness.
• Ability to follow procedures, report abnormalities and work collaboratively with the team.
• Willingness to perform routine mechanical tasks without specialized lifting equipment.

Required skills

• Mechanical inspection (visual vibration, heat, noise).
• Basic pump lubrication and oil addition.
• Filter and strainer cleaning.
• Gasket replacement (≤150 psi, ≤6 in).
• Flange opening (≤150 psi, no lifting gear).
• DFPV procedures (depressurization, flushing, purging, venting).
• Use of Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for first‑line maintenance.
• Safety equipment visual inspection and work‑permit compliance.
