Finance Analyst

About the role

Pubity Group Ltd is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Analyst on a freelance, fully remote basis. You will work closely with the UK‑based finance team, supporting day‑to‑day finance operations, month‑end close, and management reporting while adhering to UK working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records in Xero and keep the chart of accounts tidy.
• Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, variance commentary, KPI tracking) and build Excel/Google Sheets trackers.
• Process supplier invoices, run payments, raise sales invoices and manage credit control.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and expense claims.
• Respond to internal finance queries and document/improve finance processes.
• Identify process improvements and leverage AI tools to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in finance covering management accounts, AP/AR and reporting.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with formulas, pivot tables and lookups.
• Fluent written and spoken English and comfortable working UK hours remotely.
• Accurate, organised and able to manage own workload to deadlines.
