About the role
The Jewish Agency's Brazil Office is looking for a Finance and Administration Director to oversee all fiscal, administrative, legal, tax and human‑resources functions for its activities in Brazil.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the accounting team (one employee plus outsourcing) and manage local finance, HR and operations.
- Oversee purchasing, vendor payments, donations, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping and cash‑flow management.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and corporate governance, and report to local authorities on legal and financial matters.
- Manage payroll, employee expense reports and HR issues, including visas and work permits for Israeli staff.
- Plan, manage and supervise the execution of departmental and unit budgets.
- Prepare local financial reports required by Brazilian law and the Israel headquarters.
- Maintain office spaces and facilities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field (essential).
- Master of Business Administration (preferred).
- 5+ years of finance experience in medium‑sized or large organisations.
- Proven managerial experience (essential).
- Fluency in Hebrew and/or English (essential).
- Experience with nonprofit regulations, labor law, benefits and tax issues (essential).
- Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
