Financial Controller

About the role

Credix, a fast‑growing FinTech focused on B2B credit for Brazilian SMEs, is seeking a data‑minded Financial Controller. The role will bridge operational excellence with forward‑looking financial strategy, ensuring transparency, cost‑effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement strong internal controls aligned with Brazilian regulatory and tax requirements (IFRS, US GAAP).
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, cost tracking, budget adherence and variance analysis.
• Build financial models and forecasts linking KPIs to unit economics and growth initiatives.
• Lead FP&A analytics to answer profitability drivers, investment priorities and path to profitability.
• Optimize cost structures and drive profitability across the organization.

Required profile

• 2–5 years experience in financial controlling, FP&A, cost control or similar finance roles.
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Analytical mindset with experience in cost management, expense tracking and profitability analysis.
• Knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations, IFRS, GAAP and financial compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling.
• SQL for data extraction.
• Python for automation and analysis.
• Business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
