Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance material scientist with strong Python skills to help design and validate AI‑training problems for leading tech companies. The work is project‑based, remote and focuses on creating realistic engineering challenges that can be solved programmatically.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material‑engineering problems that mimic real‑world workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks that require numerical methods, iterative solutions or optimization.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and use standard engineering libraries.
• Base scenarios on actual research challenges or practical applications.
• Verify solutions with Python code and provide clear, documented problem statements and correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research or teaching experience in material engineering.
• Proficient written English (C1 level or higher).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
