Head of Finance

About the role

FIFA is establishing a local subsidiary in Brazil to support the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™. The Head of Finance will lead the finance function of this new entity, shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and expand the Finance team covering Accounting, Taxes, Controlling, Treasury and Insurance.
• Implement FIFA financial tools, policies and procedures in line with local law and FIFA requirements.
• Oversee all finance operations: accounting, tax compliance, controlling, treasury management and insurance coverage.
• Act as a business partner to internal functions, providing financial analysis, risk management and decision‑support.
• Coordinate budgeting, consolidation, reporting and forecasting with FIFA Finance Division.
• Maintain relationships with senior management, external partners, auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and FIFA accounting principles, and produce error‑free financial and tax reports.
• Lead and motivate the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in a multinational or sports‑related environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax legislation and corporate governance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese is a plus.
