Junior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Software Engineer, you’ll build and maintain features across our AI‑centric web applications—turning designs into working UI, wiring up API integrations, and keeping the codebase clean and well‑tested. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers who review your code, help unblock you when you’re stuck, and push you to level up quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain web application features across the frontend and backend, writing clean, well‑documented code and implementing user interfaces to design specifications.
• Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and work with relational databases to support application functionality.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, and write unit and integration tests to ensure reliable releases.
• Follow security best practices and internal development standards, including the Git workflow.
• Participate in code reviews and team stand‑ups, keeping leads updated on task status and blockers.
• Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimise business processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or comparable practical experience.
• Working knowledge of at least one modern web framework with comfort writing JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Basic understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git and standard version‑control workflows.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for daily documentation and collaboration.
• Comfort giving and receiving feedback in code reviews and asking for help when blocked.
• Eagerness to learn, take direction, and rapidly grow technical skills.
