Legal Counsel – Real Estate Development (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Development Lawyer to join our legal team as a remote counsel. The role supports all phases of real‑estate projects, from acquisition and financing through construction and disposition, providing strategic legal guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on land acquisition, due diligence, entitlement, permitting, and construction agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, development agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documents.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct legal research on real‑estate statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Collaborate with development, finance, and construction teams and liaise with government agencies, lenders, investors, and consultants.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university and admission to the bar in the country of residence.
• 5+ years of experience in real‑estate law, focusing on development and transactions.
• Prior in‑house experience with luxury real‑estate developers is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
