Maintenance Technician – Joinville Plant

About the role

General Motors is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to work on‑site at its Joinville plant. The role involves both electrical/automation and mechanical responsibilities, ensuring reliable operation of critical plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical sub‑stations, medium‑voltage cubicles and low‑voltage QGBTs.
• Read and interpret single‑line diagrams and electrical project documents.
• Diagnose faults in panels, power and control systems; parameterise circuit breakers, VFDs and soft starters.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on industrial vehicles, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, generators and HVAC systems.
• Support building facilities including electrical installations, lighting and sanitary services.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Mechatronics, Electro‑Technical or Electro‑Mechanical.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to read technical manuals and identify spare parts.
• Knowledge of Ingersoll Rand Trane chillers (1000, 650, 250, 150 TR) and Atlas Copco compressors (ZR315 VSD, ZT315 VSD, ZT160).
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as forklifts and tow tractors.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

• Industrial vehicle driver’s licence.
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
